I was absent on the first day of classes so I decided to adopt the Multicultural Center as my place of interest on campus. Initially proposed by a group of student in 2001, the center has grown in influence over the past 15 years, aiming to facilitate cross- cultural discussions, and increase the recruitment of "underrepresented students, staff and faculty." Our class spoke with the director Jon Joiner, and his assistant Sa'eed Hajis. As many of you know, I will be working on a new sign for their Black Bag Speaker Series, a 'commission' that resulted from our visit.
